Rama Rama, Hero Bold

Rama, Rama, hero bold,
In the tales of old, you're told.
Above the world so high,
A prince of virtue, in the sky.

Rama, Rama, with your might,
Fought for truth and what is right.
Like a lamp, in our heart,
Stay always, don’t depart.

Rama, Rama, king so wise,
Your story sings the skies.
Rama, Rama, hero bold,
You’re truly pure as gold.

Arjun saw the eye

Focus, focus,
On your goal,
See just the target,
In your soul.

Arjun saw,
Just the eye,
Not the tree,
Nor the sky.

Focus, focus,
Like Arjun’s play,
Aim your best,
Every day!

Speak the truth

Speak the truth,
and speak it kind,
Let gentle words
fill your mind.

Truth that hurts,
we need not say,
But lies, my dear,
we keep away.

Words like flowers-
soft and sweet,
Heal each heart
you chance to meet.

In truth and love,
we stand so tall,
This is dharma,
for one and all.

Krishna, why do
you drive a chariot?

In Krishna's land, where tales unfold,
A child's question, pure and bold:
"Krishna, are you rich, they say?"
"Oh Yes, in love, in every way."

"Why then, be a chariot driver?
You could take a bow and quiver.”

With laughter sweet, Krishna replied,
"No task too small, no need to hide.
Love guides my deeds, big or small,
In every act, I hear its call.

Love's the force that drives my deed,
Not wealth or fame, but love indeed."
"Thank you, Krishna," the child did sing,
For love's the gift you always bring.

Who’s the Gita for?

"Mother, mother, who's the Gita for?
For warriors bold or sages of yore?"

Oh, my sweet child, listen to me,
Gita's wisdom is for all to see.

In Arjuna's tale, we learn the way,
To love Lord Krishna, every day.

It rids us of doubt, worry or fright,
And live a life full of love and light.

Gita's teachings, pure and true,
Guiding us all, in all that we do.

So, O dear child, as you grow each day,
The Gita's lessons will guide your way.

I am a hand bell

I'm a little hand bell,
Round and bright,
With a sound so clear,
In the morning light.

Shake me gently,
Hear my chimes,
Ring me softly,
In divine meal times.

When aarti is offered,
Hear me shout,
I ring, and you sing,
Let love pour out!

Row your boat

Row, row, row your boat.
On the Ganga's sacred flow
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
With devotion let us row.

Row, row, row your boat.
On the Yamuna's gentle stream
If you feel the Lord's embrace,
Sing your heart out, let it beam!

But, if you feel a sense of fear,
Just remember, Krishna is near!
Chant, chant, chant in the mind.
Surely, Krishna you will find.

Wake up before
the Sun’s first rays

Wake up before
the sun's first rays,
Start the day with
prayers and praise.

Blessings come
to you and me.

With devotion in
your heart, arise,
In Krishna's love,
let your spirit rise.

Healthy, wealthy,

The Turtle Teacher

Turtle tucks in, then peeks out slow,
Teaching us wisdom that we should know.

"Splash" in the water, "crunch" on a leaf,
Using his senses in firm belief.

Eyes to read tales of Hari so grand,
Ears for the mantras, that in temples stand.

Tongue to speak truth, and sing holy song,
Nose to smell incense, all night long.

In devotion to Hari, our senses we guide,
Like the turtle, with wisdom inside.

Krishna, why did
you create this world?

"Krishna, Krishna," asks a child so small,
"Why did you make this world, tell us all?
Is it for fun, for sport, or more?
To learn, to earn, what's it all for?"

"My dear," Krishna smiles, gentle and wise,
"The world's a stage for love to rise.
To love, to share, with all you meet,
In devotion's path, find joy so sweet.

Perfect yourself, lend others a hand,
In this love, together we stand."
Thus spoke Krishna, his message clear,
Love and service, that's why we're here.

A true friend
In their Guru's ashram so green,
Krishna-Sudama: two pals were seen.
Friends so true, in sun or shade,
A bond of love, never to fade.

In Sudama’s need, he felt so small,
Yet Krishna's kindness stood so tall.
Welcomed with love, an open heart,
Forever united, never to part.

A handful of rice, small and light,
Sudama's gift, in Krishna's sight,
Krishna's grace, a blessing so grand,
Took it all, with a generous hand.

Without a word, without a plea,
Gave him riches, like the endless sea.
Sudama’s life, once humble and bare,
Filled with fortunes beyond compare.

"Friends in need are friends indeed,"
Krishna proved, with every deed.
So, let's share, play, and be kind,
A friend like Krishna, we may find.

Welcome Rama,
this Deepavali

Come, dear Rama, to our place,
With your smile, your gentle grace.
Into our hearts, come make your way,
Stay with us, every single day.

Around us, lights softly glow,
Inside and out, they brightly show.
Festivity fills the air, everywhere,
With love and joy in equal share.

Hari, Where have
you been?

“Hari, O Hari, where have you been?
In jungles deep or caves unseen?
In temples tall, or in skies near sun,
Where do You hide, O endless one?"

“Dear child, I'm in every space,
Vaikuntha's my eternal place.
Temples, jungles, caves so wide,
And in each heart, I do reside.

But listen close, for here's the key,
In a pure saint's heart, you'll find me.
Where devotion's song flows free,
There, my child, you'll see me.”

Birds of Bharat

In dawn’s light, so clear and bright,
Birds of Bharat take their flight.

"Kaw-kaw," the clever crow cries,
Soaring high in morning skies!

"Chirp-chirp," from rooftops tall,
Sparrows call—so sweet, so small!

When the cuckoo starts to sing,
It’s a sign of blooming spring!

Parrot chatters, bold and free,
Echoing voices like you and me!

"Squawk-squawk," the mynah calls,
Echoing through trees so tall.

Peacock spreads its feathers bright,
Dancing in the monsoon light!

High above, the cranes glide by,
Painting Vs across the sky!

Swans glide on waters deep,
Where golden sunrays softly peep.

"Who-who," calls the owl so wise,
Watching under moonlit skies.

Listen, listen—what’s that sound?
Birds of Bharat all around!

Giggles rise to the sky,
Holi's here, don't be shy,
Throw the colors, let them dry!

Ramanavami's bells chime clear,
Rama! Rama! We draw Him near,
Celebrate the Lord, oh so dear,
His glory we all deeply revere.

Janmashtami's flutes resound,
Toot! Tweet! The notes abound.

In every heart, he is found.

Stomp! Clap! Dancing feet.

Crackle! Pop! Fills the night.

Thank you Moon

Oh dear moon, in the night sky above,
You calm our hearts with your gentle love.
Your silver beams, so cool, so kind,
Bring peace and joy to every mind.

You guide the tides, you guide the seas,
You dance with the stars in the evening breeze.
From fruits to flowers, your tender light,
Fills them with taste, a gift of delight.

You rest on Shiva’s brow with grace,
And remind us of Krishna’s lunar race.
Beneath your glow, He danced and played,
In Gokul’s fields, where love stayed.

Holi’s colors, Deepavali’s spark,
All do follow your celestial mark.
You show us time, in your gentle phase,
A timeless clock of eternal ways.

With folded hands, we bow and say,
Thank you Moon, for guiding our way.

Rama, how can a rock
float on the sea?

"Rama, Rama," a young voice rings.
"Tell me please, of wondrous things."

How can a rock float, not sink in the sea?"
Rama chuckles, "oh dear one, Listen to me.

Write 'Rama' on stone, it floats on blue,
Write 'Rama' in heart, light you'll be too.

Cross the world's ocean, wide and deep,
With my name in heart, you'll leap and leap."

"Thank you, Rama," the children cheer,
"Your name's our boat, we hold it dear!"

To bring back good to light of day.

The Forehead Mark

On father's head,
A mark so bright,
Tilaka shines,
In morning light.

Two eyes to see,
The world around,
Third eye's where,
God's love is found.

This sacred mark,
So pure, so fine,
Reminds us of,
The Lord divine.

Tilaka shows,
We're never apart,
God’s in thoughts,
And in our heart.

We wear it for God,
And take a stand,
To stand by the faith,
Of our dear land.

The art of bowing

In the garden, a fruitful tree,
Bows down low, so humbly.

But dry sticks, stiff and tall,
Never bend, they might just fall.

Little ones, look and see,
How good people should be.

Wise hearts bow with love so kind,
Learning more with an open mind.

Bow with a smile, and learn each day,
With humble hearts, we find our way.
